I'm just curious does the new Ruger Redhawk 4" 45 Long Colt have any speedloaders available for it and/or can the charge holes be chamfered and are there any moon clips available for it? If I can equip it like my .357 I'd love to have one, otherwise I'd rather get a Blackhawk.

I'm guessing it'd be the HKS 25-5 that fits the S&W 25-5 or is it the 29-M that fits the Redhawk 44 mag? Also what kind of moonclips would you use, S&W 44 mag? I've never seen moonclips for a 45 Long Colt, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist.

The .45 Colt case head will not go in the .44 Mag speedloaders, so the 25-5 model would have to be the one to try. I've never seen any clips for the .45 Colt, as it is a rimmed round. I've got a bunch of half-moon and full-moon clips for .45ACP, but that is a rimless round that headspaces on the casemouth. I don't think there would be any practical way to use those clips with the rimmed rounds.

I believe .357 magnum is "rimmed" and moonclips are used for it, so maybe 45 auto moonclips would work for the 45 long colt, just curious.

.45 ACP moon clips won't work on the .45 Colt. I'm guessing you have a S&W Performance Center .357 Magnum revolver.
