Hey guys, so I have an opportunity to purchase a mint condition S30V Regular Sebenza with double blue lugs. What would be a good price for one of these knives? The guy asked me to make him an offer, I don't wanna low ball him but I also don't want to overpay. Hard to find a current market price for one of these. It was produced in 2004 and has the milled lines on the edges of the handle scales (not sure if that makes a difference at all). I am in no way the leading authority on CRK though so I was hoping someone more knowledgeable could help me out.

Edit: It is a Large version.

It depends a little on if it's a small or large model. Id say for a large, $550 would be my top dollar on one. I'd maybe do up to $500 on a small if it was mint. I'm no authority on vintage CRK either but that's more or less what I see them go for.

I could be completely wrong so take my answer with a grain of salt

Request pics before making an offer. It will go from 425.00 to 550.00 depending on the condition.
His definition of Mint and yours may be different.
Does it have the original box and paperwork? That adds/devalues the price.
Has it ever been sharpened, has it ever been carried?
The more snail trails, scratches on the blade, the lower the price.
Good Luck!!!! Hope you can score it :)

He sent pics and a video of it, no snail trails and appears to be very smooth and in perfect working order. The blue on the studs is a little worn off. He does have the box and the papers, I'll ask if he sharpened it. Was hoping to find a BG42 version but i've almost given up hope on finding one of those!haha. He says he's reluctant to let it go but will depending how much money I offer him so...I hope he doesn't try to rake me over the coals on the price haha.

Around $500 seems to be the going rate for one in good shape with all its papers. Of course the prices vary a lot, it comes down to what you are willing to pay! The price will drop if the knife has been sharpened or modified, how much depends on what they did and how good of a job was done:) Good luck finding a BG 42 CRK in petty much anything, but especially a large regular!

For NIB / Mint condition (w/ box and Papers), I'd pay the following:

Large BG42 - $600.00 to $650.00
Small BG42 - $500.00 to $550.00

Large S30V - $500.00 to $550.00
Small S30V - $400.00 to $450.00

We are just talking about plain jane regular sebenzas. Unique graphics will be higher. I am also on the lookout for Large Regular Sebenza BG42 myself and have had no luck. I did snag 2 Small BG42 though. I consider myself lucky as one was still NIB / Mint condition :D

Some of the 2004's had the different thumb jimping, and those may be worth a bit more.

Also, you have to have a paid membership before we can give you prices..

This one has the standard "finer spacing?" Jimping. Yeah I see that now, my membership just ran out I plan on renewing it. I've been a gold member for the past year.
