Ruike M671-TZ flipper problem

I've just taken delivery of this new Ruike flipper. It cost me £105.
I knew what I was buying, and wanted a small flipper to keep in my pocket. It has a front flipper and two large thumb studs so you have two choices for how you deploy it.
But I'm really struggling with this little knife...?
I love everything about it, apart from the really strong detent.
No matter how hard I try, I can't flip this knife open with either the front flipper or the studs. When I manually give the blade a head start by easing the detent ball from its secure position in the hole, it flies open and locks up with a fast, smooth and solid action, but the detent is so strong that my thumb or my finger can't budge the detent past its first stage..? I've not dismantled the Ruike yet. All I've tried so far is adjusting the pivot screw and dropping a tiny bit of lube on the detent ball. Then I've spent a long time manually popping the detent ball out of its hole and popping it back in again. This process opens the blade approx 5mm from its closed position. So basically I've just been trying to wear the edge off the the detent hole to try and break it in. I've done this so many times now that it must be the equivalent of fully opening and closing the blade hundreds of times. But it's made no difference at all. I've run out of ideas now. I'm not a complete novice and I know my way around any folding knife with regards to stripping them down, servicing them, and rebuilding them. But I'm hoping that someone might have another idea I can try before going as far as taking it apart and attempting to adapt/modify something.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou
