The ruixin pro rx 008 does not centre the blade as the bottom clamp base plate is fixed so will not centre the blade like the kme does, i was getting 20 degrees one side, 18.2 degrees on the other, the degrees out of true will depend on the thickness of the blade. I tried the fix on youtube with the electrical tape and washers, this does not work, this is a design flaw.
I cut some thin platic packers/inserts from an ice cream tub lid 80mm x 20mm to put on top of the bottom clamp plate to raise the knife to centre the spine of the blade so the line on the clamp casting runs through the middle of the blade, 4 packers/inserts gave me 20 degrees on both sides. The number of packers/inserts required will depend on your blade thickness, the key is to make sure you centre the blade to get the same sharpening angle on both sides, this may not be a perfect fix but as a work around makes the sharpener usable.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post
