:D I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Ruko knives. I found one at the local Rural Kings. At a real low price I was thinking about pulling the trigger on it. Any help will be appreciated.:D

Ruko imports knives from Italy, Spain, China which range from a few dollars to a few hundred. They don't manufacture any.

Well, has anyone had or used Ruko knives? Anything about quality, edge retention, f & f, etc.

A farm and fleet store near me carries a whole line of Ruko knives. I've looked over and handled what they carry, and my opinion is that they are mostly very low end knives. Very affordable, perhaps useable depending on the model, but not anything to brag about.

I bought one of these classic 80's styled "survival" knives recently. It's by Ruko, and it is a perfect match for the ones that were so common back when I was a kid. It was only $7, so I had to buy it just for nostalgias sake. But it is really a piece'o'crap. :) From what I've seen, I would say they are in about the same class as those $8 Trails End knives Wallmart sells in their camping section.

Your question is too open. It's like you are asking are KMart shoes good?

Can you at least identify what you are interested in? Since they import such a range of knives, the quality will depend on the knife. The low-end China stuff is OK to junk, while the Muela or Fox can be good to very high quality.

The one that I am looking at is the camo fixed blade hunter knife. I was wondering if it would serve ok as a camp knife, for food prep, light wood working and such. That is what I was really referring to.

I have a Ruko sheath knife, with Muelay on the reverse side, and Made in Spain and maybe a model ? Number 1nox,the steel in this knives does seem to be decent and holds an edge but I never used it much and it's pedigree ?maybe a yard sale ,I can't remember.the stainless has after years of sitting around in the attic tiny spots of rust, believe it or not my experience with that is that better knife stainless steel will do this perhaps due to higer carbon steel content in the alloy or something ,but they are better blade steels, jmho based on experience.
