on My trip to Venezuela, and recently to the Canaries, I discovered some mighty fine rums, and I fully understand why the pirates loved rum...:D
The best, what I've had so far is the Santa-Teresa 1796 Ron Antiguo de Solera from Venezuela, and the Flor De Cana from Nicaragua.
What are your favourites, what would you bring to a Busse pirate ship, guys?

liquor ,liquor,always my favorite :D

Great choice man.

I prefer:

Zacapa centenario edicion platino, 25 years (solera system) Guatemala.
Ron Maximo, Cuba.
Ron Coloso, Guatemala
Flor de Caña, 18 years (solera system) Nicaragua.
Zacapa Centenario XO, 25 years (solera system) Guatemala.

Salud!

I like the Flor De Cana that's 7yrs or older (the 18yr is especially good).

For inexpensive tasty options I like Brugal Anejo (Dominican Republic).

And, say what you will, regular ole Sailor Jerry's is great spiced rum...

I just hooked on rum while was tasting "high end" ones...they are on pair with the fine whiskeys and cognacs...
high end means a "multi level" taste-experience:rolleyes:...you don't want to mix those with Coke...

a bottle or two of "Ten Caine" should be required on a Busse pirate ship.

The Private reserve is for when I drink it straight (not very often), or very lightly mixed, the rest I've had...are for when taste stops mattering so much. :D
This next weekend might be the time for me to stock up, as well as try something new! ;)
