Rumored Manix 2 - Brown G10 M390?

Saw a couple of mentions of a Manix 2 in brown G10 and M390 somewhere in this forum a couple of months ago. Any validity to this rumor or was it just wishful thinking?

It was on BHQ for a time then went away, I called and asked and the answer I got was that they were asked to remove it by Spyderco since there was not a release coming at any point in the foreseeable future.

There is a the 20CV red on the secondary market if you really want a Manix with M390/204P/20CV... being realistic you can get an S110V version for less money but similar performance: mostly vanadium carbides, highly stainless, not fun to sharpen, high edge retention.

I saw the 20CV and was tempted. I have a PM2 in S110V and yep like you said not fun to sharpen, but it does hold an edge!
