Hey everyone.

I'm really excited to post I am running an Emergency Overnight Survival Course at Gossman Knives in Whiteford, MD. Normally I run classes in the Northeast but Scott asked me to come down to his neck of the woods to utilize the land he holds the Gosstoberfest on. The first posting about the course can be found here

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...2014-Scott-want-to-let-the-cat-out-of-the-bag

I will be covering the following in great depth:

Lost Proofing
Firecraft through the 4 stages
Sheltercraft with both primitive and emergency means
Water collection/Purification
Signaling

Of course, we will be covering various knife techniques and I may even have a few "experimental" blades students can use and provide feedback on for an article or two I'm writing for Tactical Knives Magazine.

The course is $150 but if you have a Gossman Knife, you save 10%. Also, if you want to buy a Gossman Knife, you can what is available then for 10% off.

Since this original post, Adventure Medical Kits and S.O.L. has signed on as a sponsor and each participant will take home some gear too.

For more information, check out the official page on my website www.kevinestela.com or check out the event page on the Facebook Page for Estela Wilderness Education.

This is going to be a great opportunity to learn serious skills that could save your life or someone else's. Hope you can make it!

AMK/SOL just sent me giveaways for the first 12 students to register. Each participant will receive an emergency bivy bag and a survival medic kit.

If you're afraid of looking like a newbie, there is no pressure. Everyone will be challenged but with a great margin of safety. There is also no shame in learning your limits. If you don't want to spend $150, consider how much you spend on knives only to resell them at a loss. Learn skills that will never fail you. On top of that, you get to hang out with great people of similar mindset.
