I was just wondering if anyone knew about Running Dog Knife company. I like their knives but i dont know much about them. I was also told that 1084 steel is not very good, in other words bottom of the line carbon steel. Is this true?
Check out the reviews section.. I believe Chiro75 did a pretty good review on a Running Dog blade.. I believe it was a "Pup" of some sort...
You can also do a search for Chiro75 I believe it is on his site...
Hope this helps...

I have a Running Dog Pup in BG-42, great neck knife and good value. Mike is a super guy, good craftsmanship and willing to work on design/materials with the customer.
Like Normark said, see my review of the Pup in the review section (you'll have to go back a ways...actually, you may be able to see it on my site, as well, and not have to search here. It should be in the navigation frame on my webpage, down toward the bottom, if I remember correctly. I think the one I reviewed was 1095 steel rather than 1084. I doubt Mike would make knives of inferior materials, so I doubt the change makes much of a difference, if any.
