Running knife dry

Hey guys. My most carried edc is my cabelas edition full sized griptilian. In the beginning I was piling the phosphor bronze washers. But working in a car shop with dust and crap being in my pocket it would get all haunted up. so I sprayed it out with brake Kleen and run it dry now. I don't notice any bad effects doing this. Should I keep it lubed? What do you guys do?

I take mine apart and CLP them when they get dirty, or when I just want to.

I don't lube mine once they are broke in, except for the occasional knife that is just stiff. Those get a very small drop of oil or CLP just to smooth them out a little.

Never lubed mine. Rinse it out with warm water every now and again to get the lint out, then dry.

It depends on the knife for me. I lube slipjoints, my American Lawman, and my RAM. Other than those, I generally leave my folders dry.

I usually put a drop of oil in the pivot area and then wipe it very thoughtfully with a piece of tissue. Would do it probably once a year - do not make any effort to keep a particular system.
