What knife would you recommend for a runner? I was thinking one of the Salt series but I really dont care much for the blade designs... Maybe the al-mar Eagle?

When I run, or on days I just wear athletic shorts, I usually tuck one of Spyderco's FRN knives in my waistband. They are for the most part very thin. I've honestly ran with a range of FRN Spydercos in a variety of steels, and while there usually is some moisture on the blade, I've never had an issue with rust. They also tend to be very lightweight. So I'd say pick any design FRN Spyderco you like, and go with it.

Spyderco Hawk salt is what I wear around my neck when riding bicycle or running. I transpire like a horse and had no rust issues yet. :D

I'd say any of the smaller, light weight spydercos like the delica or native would work good. A small slip joint might be good too, you would just have to worry more about upkeep.

Dragonfly 2 FRN. It's 1.2 ounces of slicing goodness with a 2.25 inch blade (slightly under 2 inches with the choil considered). My grail knife for EDC.

I was going to say delica but looks like others beat me to it. I have ran with mine with out rust problems. One from the Byrd knives might be good also

The few times I run (when someone is not chasing me, that is), I carry an Endura clipped inside the waistband of my shorts. Never had a problem.

I used to run with a Matriarch2 or Pkal. Now I am running with my CQC 7 but as long as it doesn't bounce around it's fine for me.

I tend to wear shorts often even in cold weather, and I tuck my Cara Cara 2 inside my waistband as many have suggested above. It really works well.

I always have a plain-edge Dragonfly H1 clipped to my running shorts. It's held up to many summers of sweat pretty well.

Delica or my para 2-best running knife I ever had was a benchmade 830-but that's the only thing I used it for. Couldn't even tell I had it, it was so flat & light.

I go for brisk walks (bad knees for runs now) and my companion knife is the CRKT Eros flipper with a 3" blade and weighing just 1.5 ounces. Even with sweat and humidity both the titanium frame and blade steel have been very corrossion resistant.

Either one of the bottom two.

Titanium MISSION MBK

or

Titanium MISSION MPU

Both light as feathers and totally impervious to sweat.

You wont know the knife is there until you need it.
