Running out of places to carry!

OK. Check this out. I'm sure some of you have experienced this.

I carry a LARGE tactical folder - usually a CUDA Maxx, SOG Pentagon Elite 2, or one of my larger Benchmades clipped in my right pocket just for... well... you know.

I carry a SMALL tactial folder like a Spyderco Worker or some CRKT or Kershaw folder clipped on my right back pocket for actually using for opening boxes or whatever, except I really don't like the back-pocket carry. It interferes with my wallet, etc. and I'm afraid I'm going to loose it in the John someday.

I carry a Benchmade auto concealed clipped to my waistband toward the back on the off-chance that someone ties me up and takes all my other knives away from me.

I have a SAK IN my right front pocket, a CASE Doctor's knife in my left front pocket to use as a discreet option in mixed company and also keep EXTREMELY sharp for potential first-aid use.

I often wear a very small neck knife that I mostly use in the kitchen.

The problem is that I really hate the back-pocket thing and I'm not willing to give up any of my others. When I'm NOT wearing a jacket, what are some other good options?

I've tried the watch pocket for a small tactical folder, but it interferes with my larger folder. The front-of-the-pocket thing diggs into my leg and keeps me from getting anything ELSE out of my pockets.

Maybe I'll leave my fly down and clip my working knife in there. What do you think?

Any better ideas?

the ankle holster?
Perhaps a shoulder rig...

the Thunderwear rig for handguns can be adapted for a pair of very large knives

check out www.bladerigger.com for multiple carry options (e.g. forearm, ankle, shoulder, back etc.)...granted, most of these are better suited for fixed blades...hey, all the more reason to buy some new fixed blades :)

Here's my Brend/Spinal Backup combo

How about an Eagle Creek Get Out Pouch? It's like attaching an extra pocket to your belt. I bought mine from:

http://www.luggage.com/PP40111.htm

I have two of these and like them quite a bit. They are flat, so they can't be used to store bulky, round items. But because the pouch is flat and rides high on the belt, it doesn't stick out like most fanny packs do. If you wear an untucked shirt, sweater, or pullover sweatshirt, it is pretty well concealed. To give you an idea of the size, this pouch will hold a Victorinox SAK Tinker, Benchmade Mini Griptilian, or Camillus EDC horizontally in the main compartment. There is also a handy opening in the back that you could maybe clip a very flat folder to. In addition to a knife, it's a good way to hold a DMT MiniSharp, fire starter, etc.

I wouldn't clip it in there, I'd hate to have a tip-up open on me... Plus you'd have to unclip the knife before you use the restroom, unless you don't mind getting your knife a little dirty. :)

I seem to have really bad luck with tip-down folders opening in my rear pockets. It's happened twice, with two different knives, once in each pocket (left & right). I just got poked in the butt last night by a CRKT M16, thought it was my fault for trying to jam a wallet in the pocket (which depressed the flipper). The other time that a knife opened, I ripped a hole in my pants.

I sometimes carry a small waistpack at about 8 o'clock, so I can carry all my favorite gadgets and knives (and backups, of course!). :) It's about 6x6 inches and weighs about 2 or 3 pounds. I thread the strap through all of my belt loops except the few on my left side, so that it hangs low on my thigh.
