I'll be running the Tough Mudder New England tomorrow at noon. I figured what better knife to carry than the ZT 0500 MUDD. I'll be going through water, snow, mud, sand and electricity. I ran it last year , so i know what to expect. There is a good chance that I will lose the knife. I'm confident that I won't. While I won't be using the knife, it will be interesting to see if all the gunk stays out of the workings. I will post a before and after shot of me clean, then dirty. Should be fun. Stay tuned. I Love my 0500.

So the event was pretty gruling. I carried the MUDD on my hip, clipped to my shorts. It stayed secure the whole way. It was exposed to all sorts of nasty mud, dirt, dust and really dirty water. Happy to report that the action of the knife was completely uneffected. The blade ended up with some scratches, not sure how that happened. here are some pics.

Atta boy Colog! Glad to hear you both made it minus a few scratches/ beauty marks!

Cool post. Glad to know that the knife stayed in place.

I'm going to do the camp pendleton mud run in june, but I wasn't planning on having a knife tag along. Now you've got me wondering...

It was fun to carry it. My friends thought it was odd, but as a knife nut it seemed appropriate.
