Finishing up living in the dorms at tech school for the Air Force (done in 3 weeks!). To be honest the DFAC food here is awesome for breakfast and lunch but by the time the day is over, I can get lazy for the 1/2 mile walk over. For dinners its been peanut butter and jelly, hummus and pita chips, and my all time favorite food on a budget: ramen. It tastes better than it looks..have made for a few of my friends here at the dorms.

Thanks to NUTRAMAC for the awesome Runt with the maple burlap handles. When I received it the Runt looked even better in person, wish I had gotten one sooner. I'll admit there was no reason to shove it in the soup but I figured, why not for once and break it in.

- Runt
- ramen packet
- hard boiled eggs (boiled in the water kettle while heating up the water for the noodles)
- diced green onions
- 1/4 lbs Boar's Head London Broil roast beef
-Srirachi and soy sauce

are we looking at the same thing??
that looks great!

nice Runt too

Thanks brother! Haha I've been told that before I mix it all together it looks like a hot mess.

Nice one man, The Runt is a cool pocket fixed blade. I think most good meals go through a hot mess phase at some point or another. It's how it turns out that counts :)

That looks stellar!

You can do similar stuff with Mac & Cheese. When I was in grad school (and was incredibly poor) I made a concoction with curry, onions, potatoes, rice and ground beef. I was dirt cheap and tasted delicious, although it looked kinda odd!

Congrats on the Runt.
That looks pretty good to me. Chef Boy R Dee, that was my homeboy in college.

I gotta tell you that is one hell of a plate of food. 4 eggs and a 1/4 lb of meat. You must be hungry. Love seeing the Runt in the soup. Use it! That makes me happy.

I'll have to try that! Reading it sounds tasty. Some of the best meals come from genius ideas on a budget.

Glad to hear it! Day starts at 0330 and ends at 1500, not all but some days are pretty long at the DoD Fire Fighter Academy. This keeps the energy levels up!

Could you take an in hand pic of that little monster? Please?

Here you go! I have small-medium hands and I'm able to comfortably fit all 4 fingers on the handle.

Bon appetite! Looks great dude, gotta feed those brain cells right? Nice Runt!👌😋

Do you have orders for your first base yet? I was in the USAF for 4 years and my wife retired after 20. Welcome to the club and have a safe and prosperous career!

Thanks for the welcome and good wishes! I'm heading to Kadena AFB on Okinawa next month. Would have gone with an Esquire or bigger Fiddleback but Japan's law only allows 2.4" blade lengths or smaller. Glad to meet a fellow service member here! Hopefully I can also make it to 20 like your wife!

Very nice runt & nice meal [emoji3]

Thanks!

Awesome, love some Ramen and I love that Runt. I once lived on easy Mac, a can of tuna and some black pepper and hot sauce. I still make it from time to time along with spam and pineapple

Hunger, boredom, and a creative mind can lead to epic meals. I recently made jambalaya on the floorboard of my car with the help of a crock pot and a production hiking buddy.
