It just occurred to me that I have beed delinquent in not posting up this pic of the lovely Russ Andrews bowie I picked up at the Chicago Show:

I'll post up the dimensions later from home, but it's about a 7" blade of W2 with some pretty blonde ironwood for the handle. Just painfully clean work from one end to the other.

Hopefully, it will become one of Russ's standard designs. A truely great knife. :thumbup:

I am beginning to think that these 6 1/2 to 7 inch bladed bowies have about the most balanced look. That's a great looking knife.

Both beautiful.
Russ's knives are just soooo clean both from design and execution standpoints.
Don't see that blond ironwood very often; it's a nice change-up.

Yup, the 7" Hawthorne is a standard model now, and I'm
working on a larger one as well.

Gorgeous knife, Roger. And a great pic by Coop as well. Ever since I saw that photo of Peter's knife a few weeks back, I've been trying to pry it out of his hands. No such luck, so I broke down and placed an order with Russ today. It'll be a little while before I get it, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Threads like these sure cost me a lot of money. :( :D
