I have a Russel Barlow knife that was passed down to me from my grandfather which originally belonged to his father. I have no knowledge of this knife and the history I have read online has not given me much encouragement. It is an item I'd like to give to my son but would like some more literature on it. He was born in 1937 and pops said he got it on his 6th birthday making it hard to narrow down the year. My great grandfather was a farmer and from what I read this was the knife to have. Being new to the forum I want to thank everyone for any info on this. I would post a picture but permissions won't allow me to but if you can provide email I can send pictures to you

I'd recommend posting this in the 'Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades' section. You'll have more luck finding information there. :)

For posting photos, get a free photo hosting account at something like photobucket.

Upload the pic. Click on the pick and the link icon will have a line for posting to forums.

You copy that link, and past it here, and by some sort of devilry that pic shows up here!
