Picked up two of these knives.

While they are certainly not fancy, they sure do have a lot going for them. Useful blade length and design, comfortable handle (but I will regrind a bit to customize to my hand a bit), and easy to sharpen 1095 blade which holds a keen edge.

There are knives that cost many times more than this one, but I believe this simple knive deserves to be awarded the "high value" knife award. People say nice things about the Mora knives. Here's a knife with better steel (IMO, if you like carbon blades, 1.0% vs 0.65% for Mora), and is well made.

Make your own sheath, and you are in business to tackle the outdoors.

Fun knife.

Im a huge fan of carbon steel, and this nice is very traditional, which I like as well.
It looks like a great knife.

Always one of my favorites. Back in the day, my buddies and I took a meat cutting course; butcher one week, then process the next week. That particular knife would get a workout on butcher weeks. Nothin' fancy, but one hell of a workin' knife!

I really detest links that will not let you go back to the original thread.

Boss that might be a setting on your browser. For me, all links open in a separate browser window.

I use IE7 with tabs enabled. For me there is a setting in Tools> "internet options">advanced settings. It is an option box in the "Browsing" sections of the settings. It is called "reusing browser windows for launching shortcuts. Try playing with that setting.

Hope that helps, but the exact placement of the control varies with whose browser you are using and what version.

Sometimes it does this and most of the time sit does not.
can anyone help me with this? I am using a Mac and FireFox

thanks

Firefox? Then you have tabbed browsing, yes?

Just open it in a new tab.

Or, open the history and see if you can use that to go back.

I don't know anything about the Mac version of FireFox, but I got the "Tab Mix Plus" addon and set the middle mouse button (actually clicking the wheel, but the same thing) to open links in new tabs. Works very well for following links from inside forums and such.

I use Firefox on a Mac and the default setting seems to be opening links in a new tab. It's pretty odd for a link on the forum not to open a new tab or new window. Go up to Preferences, and click on "Tabs". There should be the option of opening links either in new tabs or new windows.

If that doesn't do it, there's probably some obscure support file somewhere that's corrupted. In which case, you'll probably have to snoop around the firefox website for an answer. I had a really odd bug suddenly pop up in Firefox a couple months back, and it only took a couple minutes there to find the fix.
