Russell - Green River: Blade thickness list FYI

I was considering the various knife blanks from RGR and made this list, which will hopefully be useful to someone....



thickness knife

0.135 buffalo skinner
0.132 sheep skinner
0.125 10" butcher
0.11 boning
0.09375 7" butcher
0.09375 bread slicer
0.0940 belt blade
0.09375 sheath blade
0.082 dadley
0.075 patch knife
0.067 steak
0.0625 fillet
0.058 paring blade

I picked up a blank years ago with some ebony slabs and brass rivets and my wife loves to use it in the garden and kitchen and everywhere. One day I'll have to pick up another regardless of blade thickness! Thanks for the info!

You misplaced the decimal on the Dadley. Thanks for the info. It is really helpful if someone wants to put a new handle on the blade to include a notched guard.
