I have several brand new John Russell Cutlery Co. Green River Works wooden handle curved steel blade sheath knives that I've had for years. I would like to find several more. They are great hunting and fishing knives and I need a few more for friends. I'm sure they are not being manufactured any more. Cabella's used to have some in their catalog. Anyone have an idea where I might find some. They come with a new wooden handle and we put gun stock finish on them............thanks..............

You can still buy these from Texas Knife maker supply and Jantz supply and probably a host of others too for 6 to 9 bucks each. Only thing is you get just the blade only with no handle. I think they also offer a kit for a few more $ that you put together yourself. They are good blades and they cut about as good as anything else you can buy.

I always see at least a few of these in the deer camp every year because they work so well.

The Illinois Wisconsin Fur Co. site did not have this knife.........Dexter Russell just discontinued it. They don't have the same knife with the wooden handle with a grip and guards on it. They do have a straight wooden handle that I ordered but I still want to find the other one with the guards on it if anyone can help...........
