Russian BEAST Kizlyar Phoenix COMBAT I

Half a year ago,I got an awesome handforged knife from a dealer in Germany -
The Kizlyar Phoenix Combat I. It is made of russian U8 steel,differentially hardened and comes in a handmade leather sheath.

Mike Fuller liked the design of this russian blade very much,so he asked Kizlyar for permission to copy it.TOPS knives ,now,sells this knife.But I recommend the original - it`s much tougher,in my opinion.

Nice video.

Looks like a decent knife for outdoor activities, e.g. camping, hiking, etc.

Nice knife! Very pointy while still carrying strength to the tip. I would love to see a still pic and some specs. One made from 52100 and differentialy hardened would be sweet!

While it would work as a field blade, it would excell as a combat blade.

I don`t know,if there is any partnership between Kizlyar and TOPS.I just know that Mike Fuller used exactly the same blade design on one of his knive-creations for TOPS,and I was told,that he got the permission to do so.
