Hello,
I wanted to get your guys perspective and feedback on a knife business I'm trying to start. I'm originally from Russia, but been living the US for the last feed decades. I still have many connections to Russia and visit there frequently. Even though Russia has a pretty extensive knife production it seems to be severely underrepresented in the US collector circles, perhaps with the exception of folders. I assume much of the reservations comes from the inherent uncertainty of ordering from Russia as well as failure of Russian knifemarkers to properly market themselves on the global stage.

My plan is to start bringing in small batches of knifes from Russian knifemarkers and selling them to American collectors and bushcrafters. I think the quality of select makers is on par with American production, but the prices can be much more competitive. Please let me know if I'm correct in my assumptions and what is your perception of Russian craftsmanship. I have started my small experiment here Link Remove.

I appreciate any feedback, apologies if this is not the appropriate forum for this question.

Here are some examples of specific knifes I've got:

You would need a dealers membership to discuss that here.

He wants to ask members' perceptions of Russian knife maker craftsmanship. That seems pretty general.

It would - but there is an active link to an active site where sales are being made.

He should remove the link at minimum to align with the forum rules.

нет, в Казань с астраханской воблой.

The knives look good, and they are of the right design to appeal to the bushcraft crowd.

It would likely be worth your time to get a dealer membership here and be allowed to sell/market your web site and knives -

I like what I see so far!
