So im new to this forum so please bare with me. Im trying to find a knife that i believe to be from russia. As a matter of fact the only site i've found it on is all in russian. I had to use the babel fish program via yahoo to translate it but to no avail. If any of you have the resources to help me please let me know. Here is a link to the site so y'all can see what im lookin at.

--site in russian:
http://knife.ru/index.php?1=1&do=view&id=435&treeid=1&producer=%CD%CE%CA%D1

--site translated with yahoo babel fish:
http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translat...ucer=%CD%CE%CA%D1&lp=ru_en&btnTrUrl=Translate

(ps. on the translated link its the knife at the top of the page)

Try to ask Kancler on RosArms subforum here. They bring some urgly NOKS models here, but I am not sure about this one. I rather suggest you to pick some RosArms knife - I guess they may have similar model.

Thanks, Vassili.

do you like that specific design (which iis rather middle asian than Russian) or just want a knife of Russian origin?

i fancy that particular design to be honest. i had one very similar when i was overseas but it was stolen and i got it at a swap meet so this is the first like it i've seen. the shape of the blade has good threat factor and the simple survival design was similar.

Check this one - similar knife. Called Uzbek Knife (nation living in mddle Asia - Uzbekistan and Afganistan):

I am wondering what is original uzbek name for this knife - it is not Pechak, as I understand. Here is my Pechak from Chust:

Bit different but for sure authentic. May be that on is just Russian variation of Pechak?

Thanks, Vassili.

Ah, I see now... Vassily posted picture of authentic asian knife, usually they are thin and made of soft carbon steel. Great slicers tho, and could be eaasily touched up on just everything )))
Ive seen some pichok-inspired knives, production and custom. Will post some links later.
