Stumble up on this by an accident, and was not sure if this had been posted before.

The company is Golden Customs from Russia. What do you guys think?

Cool Custom, I'll be the flipper is like lightening with the ball-bearing pivot bushing.

UGLY Bull/Bison graphic IMO? How can you improve on the Mona Lisa? Next we'll see acid etched Damascus blades like Snody does. Edit, we already have a bolster up there like that - almost missed it.

Carrying a pimped to the max high end blade reminds me of the over the hill yuppies that flood the highway with their factory customized Hogs, built from HD the way we used to build them by hand decades ago. :)

What is with the hostility? Everyone is titled to their opinion, but don't insult others for theirs...

I wonder what the price tag is.

From what I understood, it says all the custom work is assessed on an individual basis. It also says they are jewelers and work primarily with silver and gold. .

Personally, I like this work a lot, and I think it complements the knife well (second knife that is).
Perhaps there is something to be said about a Hinderer customized with a mammoth tooth by a Russian jeweler.
But then again, not everyone is going to like this. I guess that's why it's called custom.

I edited my post to suit your taste I hope? "Wow" was all I could think too. Everyone is titled to their opinion right? I'm a very peaceful man - don't know where you got that? :) :)

Sorry if I got (or gave) the wrong impression. No harm done I hope ;)

Personally I think the red and black (appears) scrimshaw with the blue anodized lock side is a real bad clash. If the theme is patriotic, red, white and blue is fine but it just does not work here. Throw in the bolster and the art side of the design has way too much going on. It almost looks like they are saying we can do bolsters, damascus, scrimshaw, bearings, anodizing etc. Let's put it all on one knife as a sample knife. Kind of like a stack of fabric swatches.

My view on the aesthetics of this piece.

2 Cents Worth.

I would agree with this.

The IKBS system is cool, the handles not my flavor. I'm a Ti/G10 fan through and through.

It is not IKBS because that's a trademark and only licensed/approved makers can use it.
No offense, but to me pimping a custom knife, especially a no-nonsense folder like the XM-18, is like putting chrome spinning rims on a Ferrari.
Luckily, though, we do not have all the same tastes.

+1 What he said

I like it pretty much overall. I can do without the fancy bearings because the xm is fast enough when the pivot is tightened to that sweet spot. I do not like the blue anodized frame, I would just have it blasted. I also dont like the polished blade, stonewashed or blasted would be good yet again. I do like the damascus bolster. I also like the scrimshaw, even with the colors. I would love to see one with the African Cape Buffalo instead of the Bull. So I guess I would just be looking at a basic xm-18 with a damascus/scrimshawed scale !!!.........If no one wants it, I'll Take It...I can certainly live with the things I said I could do without :)

the craftsmanship appears superb.

but i agree, it kinda reminds me of an old car with every little add on spoiler, louvre, and trim accessory. a rolling catalog.
