Is anyone familiar with the "Rust Bluing" process? I'm thinking this may be an easy way to get a durable finish on a hawk head...

The first order of business was to take a Scotch-Brite pad (on an angle grinder) to it, which cleaned up the mold lines and imperfections on the head. Then I started sanding...and sanding...and sanding. :grumpy: I been sanding so much I swear my freakin' arm is gonna fall off!
