Rust caused by stripping with Jasco?

Hi, maybe this is the wrong place to post this but has anyone had an issue with Jasco causing rust while stripping the paint off of a knife? I just bought an OKC RAT-7 and stripped off the black "paint" with Jasco pai & epoxy remover. I put it on both sides of the blade and left it to sit for 20 minutes. It took off almost all the factory finish but underneath the "paint" there were 5-6 spiderlike rust spots on both sides of the blade. I'm thinking that these were under the paint already but is it possibile that the Jasco caused it in only 20 minutes? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so the humidity level isn't exactly dry but it wasn't overly humid when I did this either. I just put some more on to get what the first try didn't remove. If more rust shows up I guess I will have answered my own question and post the result. Thank you.

Ok, I'm pretty sure the rust was on the blade before they put the finish on. I just did exactly what I did yesterday and there was absolutely no rusting other than what was there yesterday. I guess you get what you pay for here. I'm ok with it. I wanted a knife I wouldn't worry about and it fits that bill.
