Rust off

I have this pocket knife made by Moore in matador, TX. I have had it for a little while know and would like to cleen it up. It has some rust on both blades, and inside the knife. The handles are held on with pins so I can't take them of easely. Can I put the whole knife in a rust remover? What is the best way to go about this? Thanks.

not knowing what the composition of the handle is i would spray it down with remoil & let it sat for 2 days then blow it out with compressed air & wipe it dowm. sharpen it up & use as is since removing that much rust is'nt going to make it perform better.

Soak the blades with oil and give it a scrub with 000 or 0000 steel wool.
