So I finally had the Manix rust on me in the span of few hours. It was expected and unexpected at the same time. I didn't really think of it as I was concentrating at the task at hand.
I was on a land navigation course from 3:30AM-10:00AM. The conditions were wet, cold, and humid. Typical Columbus, GA winter weather. Anyways I was really sprinting towards the end and was sweating alot. I was carrying in the belt line with the body of the knife between the belt and the pant with the clip facing out.
Lots of light spots of rust, but I got it all out that night. But this was the first time a knife has rusted on me, but it shouldn't be surprising as it was in contact with a lot of salt water.
But it was easily maintained and I still love this knife. I'd like to add as a side bar that the tip was chipped from contact with a rock.
