I was out last Friday bow hunting in a non stop rain shower watching a couple of bucks chasing does. The rut is on in Michigan ( little early ). After a very interesting hunt I kept my water drenched clothing and my BAD in a garbage bag and forgot about them until today. I pulled my BAD out of the wet Chuddy Bear sheath and NO RUST !!!!! Not even so much as a spec after 5 days of exposure to moisture ? I need to reward her with a nice beating and a little field dressing of a deer soon for her good behavior.

Yep...the satin finish is amazingly resistent to rust. Good luck hunting.

Also, the higher hardness of the bad might help it resist rust even better. None of my satin's have rusted yet.

I even split a bunch of wood that was a bit wet with my FBMLE, and finally took it back out and cleaned off the blade a month later. No rust/ no patina, no stains

Hopefully the Sheath is ok though. Prolonged wet is not great for leather.
