I'm starting to notice some very small spots that appear to be dust within the grooves on the Groove. Any recommendations on how to remove and prevent it as it's difficult to get into the grooves? Thanks

For light rust like that I usually put some militec-1 on it and let it sit for awhile.
It lifts rust up pretty good.

I just rub mine with cleaning alcohol, and it seems to work for me. I have the tanto groove though, so it may have been just fruit residue (dark blade, can't really tell)

Good luck, I've heard that the militech works really well also.

If you use your knife for cutting food, some toothpaste and a toothbrush should work fine.

I've barely cut anything and only carried it a few times, so I'm surprised it was rusting. I'll have to try some of those methods. Would FP-10 work?

Some Flitz metal polish should both remove the rust specs (the areas inside the grooves are bead-blasted, and 13C26, contrary to what I first thought, is not an extremely corrosion resistant steel) and apply a fine layer of protection from corrosion on the blade. Follow the instructions on the Flitz container.

FP10 is awesome, militec is a good lube but probably causes more rust than it stops. Let it soak with the FP 10 for a while and wipe off, if there's anything left you'll probably need to use a polish like flitz/simichrome to do the rest.

wonder if it's the humidity there... has it been high? I've never had too much trouble but it's never very humid
