So here i live quite happy in Hawaii.
Untill this morning i notice on 2 of my safe queens some damn rust .not on the blade .but on the Tang in between the G10 just a few very small dots of it but its there. got some on my DC black and tan ASH-1. and some on my Pumpkin ash-1 .any advice?
everything rusts here so any preventive advice would help as well.
been wiping blades with WD40 when i got them but seems its not working

Try a Marine Tuff Cloth to wipe your blades down. I've never had a need for one but lots of folks swear by them.

WD40 is good for squeaky door hinges.... but... bad for knives.

Use Mineral oil.... or Tuff cloth... or Ren wax.

I have the same problem here in Southeast Asia- warm and humid. But so far- no rust on my INFI! :) Using mineral oil, wiping off the blades after usage.

Any pictures?

WD-40 works ok on micarta handles, too, but note its darkening effect doesn't last as long as mineral oil. Or better yet a nice coat of tree sap. :D

Use some flitz, or even toothpaste to get the rust off, and keep it off as described above. Renwax is great stuff. I use a lot of mineral oil too.

+1 on the Flitz for removal. Light touch is key though.

Marine Tuff Cloth afterwards.

Mineral oil may be cheaper though, and is also food safe.

How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? To keep INFI from rusting, you'd have to keep it in an air tight container. The iron oxide blues touches us all, and when water smiles at carbondioxide, you have carbonic acid. The electrochemical dance continues and you arrive red-faced at the party with anger in your heart. Rust works 24/7 and could care less how much silicone or oil you use.

You might secure a blade from Mission Knives and solve your problem.

That's one reason I purchased a Mission knife. Rust, you can't touch this! It's like sweet revenge on rust.

Add dehumidifier to your safe, if there is such a thing. Kinda like those packets that come with the beef jerky that say "Do Not Eat", but you do anyway?
