Got it today. I am not a big fan of the more narrow bladed khuks but this is super nice. If this is representative of Shop 1 work they did a damn good job!

Judging from the sheath shrinkage the khuk is old but there is ZERO shrinkage of the handle. Also the handle, traditional bolster and super cool scrolled butt cap are rock solid with zero shrinkage. The carving on the handle is slightly difft from what is standard now and the handle is finished. Don't know if Rusty did it or if it was standard but it is nice!

There's a small split in the sheath and no frog, but the sheath to blade fit is better than any HI I have.

Really glad to get one of these older HI models and thanks Mamav for letting me get it!
 
That one looked pretty sweet in the pic. I'll bet its even better in person. ;)

My AK bowie is missing the frog too. Somewhere there's gotta be a drawer of frogs Mary hasn't found at home yet.

This is classic. Where else do you have people debating where a drawer full of knife sheats could be?
