I've been to Home Depot, Mccoys Building Materials, and I checked the Paint department at Wal-Mart Nobody knows what I am talking about.:grumpy:

Pappy,
If you don't mind me jumping in here, try in sporting goods at K-Mart or WalMart. Look near the shooting accessories.
Tru-Oil is made by Birchwood Casey and is called a gun stock finish. Gun shops usually carry it.

Greg

I guess I didn't read the past posts close enough or I would have known that the stuff would be somewhere around where guns are sold. Thanks again for the reply. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.:)

A gunshop without trueoil would be rare. I don't know why furniture places and home suppliers don't carry it. You'd think Birchwood Casey would want that market. Maybe they can't get in.

Going slow this morning, Pappy, but you got an answer anyway.

Pappy-

Mid-South Shooter's Supply, Bass Pro(used to, at least) & Brownells,Inc. carry it & I think you can order from all of them either snail-mail or Interent Web-site. Brownells carries a large warehouse of gunsmithing supplies. If you are in doubt about whether a product is actually what you want, they are usually really helpful on the phone. I haven't looked, but I figure they probably have the Tru-Oil on their web-site. If all of this turns up negative, holler at me, & I'll send you some from our local gunshop......he usually keeps it both in gunstock refinishing kits & by the can or bottle.
