Just what it said. Will try to get it up Monday.

I still can access the forum though.

Rusty, I already sent you all my paranoid emails before the weekend. I have none of those left, nor any sane ones either.

Munk, did I mention that I finally picked up the Savage 24S-E 22l.r./20ga. I had held for me this past Friday?

And did I mention I found a Redfield base and rings nib for the Savage 99A for about $35 at a nearby gunshop?

And that I spotted an absolutely BEAUTIFUL old Official Police when I picked up the 24? Strong bluing everywhere except the muzzle, and it ain't bad there? Haven't felt quite right since the number of 38 specials in my possession dropped into the single digits.

Official Police, Police Positive- I get them confused. You're talking about a Colt? What did they want for it?

It's the Colt "I" 41 frame with fixed sight they used for the Official Police, Officer's Model Match ( adjustable sights ) revolver, Colt 357 ( a. s. ), the earlier Trooper ( a. s. ) and the Python. The Trooper Mk 111 and subsequent Mk V were a later design that I believe used metal injection molding ( sintered parts ) IIRC

The Police Positive Special was a stretched frame and cylinder version of the "D" frame to hold the longer 38 special cartridge. The PPS, the Detective Special ( snubby steel frame ) the Cobra, and the Agent ( aluminum frame ) were all fixed sight, but the Diamondback was the junior version of the Python.

Except for the Mk III and Mk V they were all sweet... OK, the Mk III and Mk V too, by todays standards.

Anyway if it's still there in a month at $300 I'll offer them something.
