They sure are.

Actually guys Ron is having trouble with his accessnet.usa, try his Yahoo addy:

rwclarkjr@yahoo.com

Ron is a fantastic knife maker. I just got my Kodiak. It is incredible! Funny though, I haven't heard from Ron in a bit. Perhaps he is busy with his new baby and all.

Ron makes some of the nicest knives around. His grinds and plunges are damn near perfect. Those are not always the easiest things to do.

Keith,
Stupid question time, but what is the definition of a plunge? Is that the grinding on the racasso?

Thanks,

Greg

Somebody somewhere must think I have things a bit too good because it has been the pits the last couple weeks (computor and mail wise that is). My accessnetusa account is pretty much dead. I have not been able to access it for sometime now. I have contacted their service center to no avale. So please e-mail me at rwlcarkjr@yahoo.com. My service was completely down for awhile, but at least now I can get back online. I can send out of accessnet but not recieve:confused:.

Normark-Man, I am glad they got to you this time. The first time I sent them out, they were returned as undeliverable:mad:. I know I had the address right:confused:. Not sure what was up with that. Just the same ol thing, multi carry with holes for neck cords (the two clips also). Carbon fiber pattern if you got it. If not just black is fine. I will e-mail you also.

Greg - I am bummed that I missed your call. I so rarely get to talk with my customers. This net stuff is great, but I have only met two of my customers in the past year, and have only talked to about five. Starts to feel really lonely.
Oh BTW plunge cuts (also sometimes called terminators) are where the riccasso drops into the blade bevel. Its not really all that hard to get them even, the hard part is to get the radius to match. Your platen has to be the same on both edges and the belt must also be tracked the same. Most of the time when a plunge looks off, it is because one has a slightly tighter radius than the other.

Heres a pretty good shot of plunge cuts.

Well, I am off to do the last installment of the Kodiak saga.

I always said that it is a good thing that grinders don't have keyboards:).
