Recently picked up a RW Wilson hunter.
IMHO a beautiful knife fit and finish are flawless. Metal is ATS-34. Spoke with him some on the telephone seems to be a really nice guy. Researched him a little, turns out he has been making knives for years. Was actually the one who made the tomahawks in "Jeremiah Johnson" Will try to get some pics up later on. It came with a razor edge, slices through thin paper without even applying pressure. He said at shows he would take a knife beat it on a deer antler like 50 times and still shave hair with it. I am glad to have snagged it.

Nice score!!
RW is the real deal!!
My mentor spent a lot of time with RW, There was a time when he would take in new makers and put them to work, I grind in the style he does, which is free hand, with that blade right at your gut, I was told he had a a little brass rod he would give you a lil prick on the elbow if he caught you falling in the habit of peeking at your grinds to soon! Im hoping to catch up with him in April, up here in Oregon.
