I think your wife needs to send it to me until the holidays. I know you will PEEK :p

That's one incredible knife Mr. D !!! Congrats.

WOW:eek:   very COOL! And she will not let you see it until Christmas? Sounds EXACTLY like my little wifey! Then she will drop this in passing, "oh by the way I used your new knife today to do some cutting" and give me the biggest smile she's got!

very nice! lately, I've become very keen on folding kerambits...

notdos, do you know how much that ryan baby will set one back? does anyone know anyone who will make a custom folding kerambit? how much will it be? at $239, I'd rather a custom kerambit than the emerson one....which is really very nice....

notdos, that is an AWESOME piece...I got to play with the Ryan kerambits at the NY show...they are SERIOUS pieces of equipment :) congrats!

It came today. I was gonna photograph the box but it was just to hard to be near it without ripping it open. So my wife opened the box and made me go to other other room:( . Then ,,,I hear click click. I screamed, "what was that!?!" My wife calmly walks back in the room and without missing a beat says "just checkin' out the action,,it's smooth as glass.  I think I may have had a mini-stroke,,I'm still sorta numb and tingly. Anywho, I did get her to measure it. 59/16" closed 81/4" open.

Neal-thanks,,I know you have only my best interest at heart.:p :D

Spyken-Ryans are kinda pricey,,they probably average $1500 some less, some alot more.

looks like I can only wait and hope that the BOSS version is quickly produced in better steel.

What about the Don Crocket version - I think it's call the "Eaglet" - I think that's cool too. How much is something like that?

cheers,
Spyken

I've just relooked at the BOSS folding kerambit.....actually I think Liong Mah's design is very good. Even if the linerlock should fail, the design allows only the ricasso to hit your finger, the blade should generally not slice the fingers off....anyways, my $0.02 from merely looking at the picture....

Mike Turber, please make them in at least 440C/ATS34!!!!I have to have them in steel better than 420HC...:grumpy:

Notdos, nice going, great knife. There were 2 of them at the show on the Bladeart table. They were similar but different, both one of a kind, the other one had a hole opener instead of the stud. It went home with me, but I was only the deliveryman, a friend of mine bought it.

Spyken, Notdos is correct, it went in the $1500 range. All Ryans are pricey but especially one of a kinds.
IMO -and I know you didnt ask for my opinion so if you're not interested just disregard- you'd be better off waiting and saving for an Emerson or Strider, or something of equal quality, dont settle. Liong is a good friend of mine, we get together every couple of months, and I think he'd tell you the same thing.

Lifter is right,,I've always found that saving for what I really want makes me happier in the long run,,,just takes longer ;)
