Finished the first of 10 knives in a project that has been in the works for a while now, want to thank those that have given help via input along the way. I am not a Kerambit or Karambit guy, but these are fun! These were all a pre-order item, customer gets to pick the handle materials but this is by far one of my favorite combinations....

Ryan W. Knives Karambit #01/10
Steel: 3/16" W2 (with Hamon)
OAL: 7.5" Blade: 3.5"
Handle: Carbon Fiber / Silver Twill
Misc: Mosaic Pin, Jimping
Sheath: BuyBrownInd. Kydex

Love to hear your comments or answer any questions on this one

Like you I am not much of a Karambit guy but that sure looks great, especially with your trademark handle treatment.

very nice. No offense, but I wouldn't stuff anything that pretty in a piece of Kydex; it deserves hand tooled leather. :)

Very nice. I love the use of the mosaic pin in combination with the silver twill and the carbon fiber.

style for miles!

Amazing work! I love the "dark" theme on it. If you put the same materials/colors into a hunter with a dark brown leather sheath and I would absolutely be in love:thumbup:

I totally agree here

I like the carbon fiber especially, I can imagine how much fun it is in hand...

Just one question though... Why does the gimping extend onto the false edge? Its got a cool look to it but it seems to me like that'd be rough on your hands..?

It is actually a sharpened edge (not a false edge) on top and fingers / Hand are not supposed to go there (yes would be rough on your hand)

I think karambits just look cool. Takes me back to when I was a young. If you showed this and a totally practical user knife to a ten year old what do you think they would say and which one would they like. This one has all the cool! I like the choice and color of the materials.

Really appreciate the input and comments. Just finished up #2 of the 10 Karambits... This one headed to Israel, customer asked for a wood combination of my choice. Matching up wood is always a struggle for me, it took more time comparing wood in the shop than to fit up the handle itself... I went with Stabilized Honduran Rosewood and Ebony Bolster. Love to hear your thoughts on this combo.
