A while back I contacted Ryan about ordering a knife from him. He showed me a few different models that I liked, but I just couldn't decide what I wanted until he showed me a picture of one of his little Neckers. I really enjoy small knives (both making them and using them) and there aren't many tasks in my daily life that can't be taken care of by something this size. As soon as I saw the photo, I placed my order for one in W2.

I just received the finished knife a couple of days ago, and the size is perfect for me and feels very ergonomic in the hand. I asked Ryan to surprise me with some 'nice wood...maybe something spalted', and I think the piece of sycamore he chose perfectly compliments the blade finish.

Here are a couple of photos and the specs he sent me (I wouldn't want to do a disservice to Ryan's work by taking my own amateur quality pics.) Thanks again for the cool knife Ryan!

Steel: 1/8" W2 (Aldo's)
OAL: 6.25"
Blade: 2.75"
Handle: Stabilized Spalted Sycamore
Misc: Tapered Tang (Slight), Mosaic Pin

Thanks Paul and Mark, I am really glad you are enjoying your knives!

This is a fun little knife design. I carry one every day!

Great looking little knife!

I have one very similar with a wrought iron san mai blade. Love it, and wear it often!

That's a cracking looking wee knife indeed!

I can see that being VERY useful EDC.

Great work Mr W, enjoy carrying it Paul.

Thanks Jonny, Glad it is getting some use!

Scruff, you have one headed your way in a few days! Thanks for the comments... You compliment has the word Crack and Wee in it, that is good right? :)

That's a really handy looking design. For such a small knife it looks like it puts your hand in position to do some serious cutting. That's what it's all about right?
