RYP, Have you ever been to Uganda?

Just curious if you have been to Uganda. I have been there once for a 10 days and will hopefully be returning for a short time this year.
 
My Aunt has been living out there for about 20 years now, she has developed a school and continues to help the kids out there. 2 of my brothers have gone out there to visit for 2 weeks at a time, my 3rd brother is going this summer. I MAY be going in 2012 to the Mother land! All the pics I saw were amazingly beautiful, but the reality of the real ghettos and poverty is a tough look.
 
Yep, and I had the honor of being almost being blown up when some nice fella put a bomb under my table at the Speke's Hotel. Beautiful place!
 
My Wife went with our church in 2003 for about 5 weeks with the intentioin of bringing back a boy that we were trying to adopt. She returned without him but we didn't give up and will have had him about 7-1/2 years now. I went in 2007 to Bussi Island on Lake Victoria and stayed at an Orphanage for 10 days. It is a beautiful country with great people. I had an opprotunity to see terrible living conditions out on the islands which helps to bring things into perspective when you come back home.

My wife and I are taking my son Alani back to Africa to see his family and give them a cow. We passed on purchasing gifts for each other over Christmas so we could do this. I look forward to seeing the country again and enjoying the people.

I love to hear about other peoples experiences in Uganda because I love the country.
