*Ryuichi "Ryu" Kawamura Custom Knife. This is a beautifully styled Split Back Wharncliffe Whittler knife by Ryu enhanced by the engraving of Master Engraver Jon Robyn. This knife features a Wharncliffe master blade and secondary pen and coping blades, jigged bone handle, escutcheon with gold inlay and game birds engraved on each bolster with gold inlayed bordering.

John took some great photos of this one and I wanted to share. Anyone else with some of Ryu's work please post. This is my only one.

Beautiful knife, Charles. I believe his nickname is Ryu (with a "u"). He is one of my favorite custom knife makers.

Jake: I thought I had seen another of the swell center whittlers. Nice collection you have and thanks for the correction, I've made the edits.

Man, those patterns are really incredible. Nice classical patterns taken to an extreme while remaining really tasteful.

Wondeful knives! I have always thought that the Swell-center Wharncliffe Whittler with a nail file as a secondary would make a great gents carry.

I love his knives particularly his lock backs. Here are my two.........

Seriously, a lot of interesting details on those knives. Incredibly thin grinds on the blades...look at the microbevels!!
