No, Victorinox hasn't made a Tanto shaped S.A.K as far as I know, but the blade on my 23 years old S.A.K lost the tip and I had to "reprofile" it a bit!:D

Took a bit of work with Lansky, sandpaper and all, but it cuts and works well!
Even gave the blade a "hand rubbed" finish!:p

As a side note, I have a newfound respect for this little "multitool" after a weekend in the woods. It saws, cuts, makes holes and even acts as a nail file and beard cutter!
When I find a slightly slimmer model, it will be part of my "survival kit".

Hi,

Nice one!

I've done similar things with broken blades - usually I can turn them into a spey blade.

With the "eye" in the nail nick, the blade has a vaguely cat's head shape - looks good!

AWESOME work! You should be really proud. it is great to see knife nuts modify their knives.

And I agree about the SAK. I've needed mine in the Urban Jungle more often that I can count. I carry it and another knife, because it is just too handy.

Sounds like you want the Climber. It's like a Spartan with scissors.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!
Yep, it's climber I want, all right! Thanks!

Although I had to modify it since it simply wasn't much good with the broken tip, I gotta admit I had fun doing it!
And the fact it was on a very well used (abused to be honest) knife and the potential damage I might inflict was minimal, made it even more fun!
And of course it feels good bringing an old friend back to life and dignity!:)

BTW: Siggy, you'r right...it kinda looks like a cat! Hadn't noticed that before! Meow!

I would recommend getting either the Camper or the Hiker, as they have the woodsaw that is so awesome. They are also the same thickness as the climber.
