I picked up these 3 recently and really dont know anything about them. The top one is clearly marked but am not not sure who actually made it?

The bottom 2 are hand engraved Laci Szabo Design with the middle one also engraved F. Perrin and the bottom stamped FP with a buttleryfly. I'm assuming they are custom's by Fred Perrin?

Also all 3 have kydex sheaths and I would like to find out when they might have been made and if anyone knows what they might be worth?

Thank in advance, Matt

Top one is definately Black Cloud knives, (Ernie Mayer).
I believe the bottom two were Fred Perrin customs.

I can't begin to guess on pricing....

So Ernie Mayer is the maker? I havent been able to find much online about him. Is he still making knives?

Matt, Far as I know, Ernie's no longer making - he sold a few knives he had lying around on eBay a while back ... I lucked out and just happened to see them. Had some brief emails with him at that time, and he said he was clearing things out. Nice guy: told me a few stories from old Riddle of Steel days ...

Last I checked on Szabo's site, he was still selling knives of that style; not sure if the current maker on those is Newton or someone else. But if you shoot him a quick email I'm sure he'll answer your questions: he's a busy guy, but usually available to help.

Heck of a designer, heck of a fighter, and heck of a nice guy.

A lot cheaper than they should have!;)

I think if you're trying to get an idea of the value of what you have, give Laci a call ... I seem to recall a similar thread somewhere and the owner just called Szabo, who was happy to tell them everything they wanted to know, as well as what he thought was a fair value.
