I got this one in the other day. I haven't seen this tang stamp before. Nor can I find a reference to the 886UH on the Collectors-r-us page or in Dale's lists at AAPK. Anybody got any info on it?

Thanks,

Only that is matches up with the 898UH. Both are single centerpin Uncle Henry knives, that came out in the mod 70's. Both are slightly different in length to the 885 and 897. Likely some kind of SFO, but never have heard a definitive answer as to who Schrade made them for. I have seen them NIB, the brown one, with no pattern number on the side of the box.

Dave, I had heard one tale that they were made for the South American market, although Like thawk mentioned nobody has come up with a definate answer with regard to the market they were manufactured for.

I do have it on good authority, Tom Williams, that Camillus used the S.C.C. tang stamp on some TL-29s made by Camillus for Schrade.
The info came from a S-card, not sure of the date.
Perhaps they made other patterns with that stamp.
