S-guard and a Riverfront bowie

These were finished in the last couple of weeks. They both featured 12" blades. The s-guard has nickel silver fittings and a stag handle and the riverfront has nickel silver fittings and an African blackwood handle. While they are both large blades they balanced very well. Both of them featured sharpened top edges.

Have one of your stag s-guards and a big fighter I got from Danbo, great fit/finish on both.

Question... What is the width of the stag at the guard? It looks like a good diameter.

the stag unit has a badass butterfly sword thing going on. You should make a pair like that.

I am glad you liked them.
I have sent the knives off to the new owner so I can't measure the stag but it was an almost perfectly shaped oval that really fit the hand well. The width of the stag at the guard was about half of the height.
A butterfly sword pair sounds like a great project.
