Just finished this up and thought I would post some pictures.
S guard bowie forged 52100 , Blued guard and ferrule with file work.
Desert Ironwood handle.
Oal 14 in, 8 1/4 blade

I like the look of the S-guard and the knife fighter in me like the practicality of it. Some protection for fingers and a blade catcher all in one :)

Beautiful Steve! Love the flow from the blade to the handle. The blueing looks really nice. Did you hot or cold blue?

Wow, thanks for all the nice comments! Mike, the guard and ferrule were Hot Blued. I really like the way hot bluing comes out, it's a lot easier to get a consistent blue.

Wonderful piece, I like how the guard is nice and fits the overall aesthetics of the knife without being too large. I have also seen alot of ironwood handles lately, I know it has been popular but it seems more are finding out how good it looks and feels.
