S-guard bowie

Here is a w-2 bowie made from Dons steel, it started out life as a disk similar to the one in the photo.

The handle is african blackwood and spalted box elder burl from AKS with forged wrought iron fittings. This is my first successful s-guard. Those things are tricky!

This is the last knife I will get to make until next year (Unless there is an abundance of knifemaking equipment in A-stan)

With his bigger brother...

They make a nice pair I think.
