S-guard Bowie

Just Finished this Bowie. The handle is stabilized colored spalted maple.
forged 5160 blade with mild steel hardware
OAL 14 1/4 in
Blade 8 3/4
Thick 3/16

If you dont mind my asking How do you have the wood handle attached? I dont see any pins ir butt cap.

The handle is held with epoxy if the tang is prepared correctly there's no way it will come off . Andy I did not have it finished in time for the meeting..Thanks Steve
 
Steve, Great looking Bowie with a real clean execution on the guard and spacer. How do you create the grooved spacer behind the S guard.?

Thanks for all the comments. Tim the grove was made with files. I started with a triangle file to get the line, then went to a chain saw file, then sand all the marks out.That little tip was given to me from Andy Sharp ( sharpknives.com) at our last Guild meeting...Steve
