Though I only have one, a Craig Camerer Stag Spearpoint (8 1/8" 1084 blade)
that I picked up on the Exchange from Steven P,
I'd really enjoy seeing others if anyone would care to share.

Thanks.

Hello Kyle
Just wanted to say that you are an amazing young man with a huge future, your work is more than incredible. I saw a picture of you and Bill Moran a couple of years ago and the way he was looking at you told me the he had much admiration for you and your work which said a LOT. All the best to you Kyle. Your knife is truly a work of art. Congrats on the recent article in Blade it realy says it all.

Very best regards

Robin

Great thread, I really LOVE S-guards...

Here's one by Ray Richard, subtle S, but well done, 12.5" blade:

Ivory handle, 3/8"+ bladestock, 15" overall - just to give a perspective on the mass of this piece.

Thanks for the complement!

I went to the ABS school April 2007 and really started getting serious about making knives. I believe that Mr. Moran passed away earlier in 2007, before I was really into knives and I didn't meet him.

I would have liked to meet him.

Thanks,

Kyle

LORIEN --- I agree with you re. Mike's Bowie. I heard from him a few days back and he is sending the Bowie he made for me out in the mail --- should be here in a few days.
I asked him not to put his name on it --- I inlayed a ribbon of 24ct. gold in the spline where I'll engrave his name & mine. The handle is a fine piece of crown sambar that will have Madusa's face carved in ivory with the red gold mass of snakes for hair. The guard and 1" long pummel will be inlayed with 24ct and covered with scroll similar to the one i did for Bruce Bump. I think Mike will post it here. Mike's a great guy to work with AND, fast.

I just made a LONG fighting bowie with a mild S guard, but as my premium account has expired, i can't figure out how to post one of my typically bad pictures.:D

Perhaps that's best then, Joe. :D j/k

Thanks to everyone for the great knives, very enjoyable.
