I have been looking around for something "different" in a Schatt and Morgan folder. I found the S&M #19 Texas Special Shield & Longhorn Handle MaterialTrapper. Looks pretty cool, with an old weathered look to the scales. I am curious as to why I only found these on one web page and no one else has them. Even when I did a search, it turned up only on one site. Was it an exceptionally low production run in 2002, or did they all just get bought up rather quickly?

some special runs ordered by dealers are in really small quantities.....I just bought a single blade s & m barlow was a special order run of 100.

Not sure if this is the website you saw:
http://www.bvbranchknives.com/schatt_&_morgan_texas_specials.htm
But it gives the number of knives in the various handle materials.....and they were very low run numbers.
Barry is a good guy, if you choose to shop with him.

Not connected, just tryin' to help.

Thanks for the info. That is exactly where I found the items. Barry seems great to work with. He is going to email me some images of other ones to look at also. I just can not figure out why no one else has posted any info on this style.
