Here is one I have patiently waiting for ever since I heard they were coming out. The 2006 S&M File and Wire ATS-34 toothpick. The blade point could be felt just a little when the knife was closed. I made a few careful passes along the groove on a sharpmaker rod holding the blade like a pencil with the edge away from me (if that makes any sense). Not enough to round it off but just enough to take it down a mite. Worked like a charm. The mini toothpicks are too small, the 5 inchers are too big, this one at about 4 1/4 is just right, if I may quote Goldilocks.

That's nice, Mr. T. !

You're correct about most toothpicks. . . .they are either too small or too big ! I've never understood that. Maybe the biggin's are for Texans and the smallin's are for "all others." :D

Very nice knife! Nice to have it in ATS-34!
Now to lower the point, I always file the kick next to the choil. Was your blade actually touching the backspring? Or am I misunderstanding what you did?

I think the blade was a hair too long and with the blade closed. . . .it could stick or cut him enough to draw blood.

The blade was not touching the backspring. When you ran your finger over the blade tip when the knife was closed, you could just barely feel the point. Hardly noticeable at all except to me of course. I guess what I did could be called rounding it off but it took so little to get it where it could not be felt that you can not even tell it has been messed with. Had it needed more work to get it down then the kick file method you describe would probably have been the best.

I believe I've got the picture! Thanks T, and G.

It's a beauty! I've been looking at that model for a couple of weeks now.
Really like the size (of the knife) and the location of the nail nick.

I have the 5" version from a couple of years ago.

Must say, I don't think the 5 toothpicks are too big.
Think they're just about right. ;)

I just carry plenty of bandaids. :p :D

I was gonna say it looked kind of like you opened one side of a muskrat and shoved the other end up a Toucan's beak, but I didn't want "them" to know I been dropping my medication in my boss's coffee. :D (Juss because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!)

Really though, that's a nice lookin knife. I like the slender lines of it. I like long, slim clip blades. You can reach right across the whole tomato with one.

You may quote Goldilocks as long as you don't wear a dress and a yellow wig while doing so. It would just be too Rocky Horror Picture Show meets the Three Bears.

but...but...but...
It's a Muskrat blade :(
I like the size and the handle but it looks so wrong.

Of course these opinions are mine and mine alone...if you like it, more power to you!

A muskrat gotta pick his teeth too.

Hmmm, it's unique and has that in between size. You get to carry something that steps out from the crowd a little, has some good steel, and feels good in your pocket. Not bad.

Yup, I'd have to go with MuskPick :D
The size is right, all right.
Oh well.
